Xenomite Infection
- Not to be confused with Radiation, a similar mechanic in the mod.
The Xenomite Infection refers to a set of debuffs that are related to each other. The Infection consists of 4 stages in total, starting with Green Rashes and ending with Shock.
There exists a hidden Infection Timer that increases for each second the player is afflicted with Green Rashes, Glowing Pustules or Flesh Crystals. The timer resets if the player fully gets rid of the debuffs or if the Infection progresses to the next stage.
The Anti-Crystallizer Serum reverts Infection to a previous stage, but doesn't reset the Timer.
The player can become immune to Xenomite Infection debuffs by equipping the HEV Suit accessory.
Green Rashes

Green Rashes is the first stage of Xenomite Infection. It reduces defense by 7 if inflicted to the player and deals 5 damage per second if inflicted to an enemy. Being afflicted with this debuff for 1 minute will replace it with Glowing Pustules.

Glowing Pustules is the second stage of Xenomite Infection. It reduces defense by 9 and movement speed by 20% if inflicted to the player and deals 10 damage per second if inflicted to an enemy. Being afflicted with this debuff for 1 minute will replace it with Flesh Crystals

Flesh Crystals is the third stage of Xenomite Infection. It reduces defense by 11 and movement speed by 30%, as well as inflicting Hemorrhaging and Necrosis. Being afflicted with this debuff for 1 minute will additionally inflict Shock, without removing Flesh Crystals.

Shock

Shock is the fourth and final stage of Xenomite Infection. It disables life regeneration, deals 50 damage per second and disables any form of movement or interaction with the world, leaving the player to die.
Xenomite Antibodies

Xenomite Antibodies is a special debuff that makes the player immune to Green Rashes. The player receives this debuff for 5 minutes if the Infection Timer is at 50 seconds or higher and the player doesn't have any of the above Infection debuffs.
Notes
- If the player has Nurse's dialogue window open, they can remove the Shock debuff by requesting a Heal.
- Having multiple Infection stages debuffs at the same time will result in only the lowest stage being replaced when the Infection Timer reaches 1 minute.
