Irradiated Hardened Sand is a Hardmode block found in the Wasteland replacing Hardened Sand Blocks.

Irradiated Hardened Sand cannot be converted by Purification Powder, but it can transform into Hardened Ebonsand/Hardened Crimsand by using Vile/Vicious Powder. Clentaminator solutions, however, work as normal.

As with all irradiated blocks, breaking Irradiated Hardened Sand will increase the player's Radiation level by 0.083% per block if they are within a 4 tile radius. Breaking Irradiated Hardened Sand will not increase the Radiation level above 200%, and its Radiation gain can be negated by protection level of 1.
