Irradiated Sandstone is a Hardmode block found in the Wasteland replacing Sandstone Blocks.
Irradiated Sandstone cannot be converted by Purification Powder, but it can transform into Ebonsandstone/Crimsandstone by using Vile/Vicious Powder. Clentaminator solutions, however, work as normal.
As with all irradiated blocks, breaking Irradiated Sandstone will increase the player's Radiation level by 0.083% per block if they are within a 4 tile radius. Breaking Irradiated Sandstone will not increase the Radiation level above 200%, and its Radiation gain can be negated by protection level of 1.
