Radiation

Radiation is a serious hazard for humans like you, but an avoidable one. If you see a glowing blue material near the crater, don't get too close. That'd be Plutonium. A Geiger-Muller will warn you of irradiated areas, and if you do get sick, take a Radiation Pill as soon as possible. I will sell these once you set the nuke off. ...Err, that is if you DO decide to detonate one.

Radiation is a mechanic in Mod of Redemption that causes players to become irradiated if they linger near radioactive material for lengthy periods of time, inflicting increasingly dangerous debuffs over time until the player dies. The Geiger-Muller accessory can be used to indicate if the player is susceptible to becoming irradiated.

The player's radiation level is a value indicating the intensity of the player's radiation sickness and can be checked via the Geiger-Muller. Radiation sources constantly increase that level, up to a certain limit, referred to as max level. Player's protection level affects how much radiation the player receives. If the protection level is equal to or higher than the requirement, then the source's radiation increase is nullified. If protection level is lower than the requirement, the radiation increase is instead divided by (protection level + 1).

If the player's radiation level is at 100% or higher, their level will begin passively increasing by 0.5/s, unnafected by protection level.

The player can cure their radiation sickness by using a Radiation Pill, unless their level is already at 300% or higher. Using the Pill will begin decreasing the radiation level over the course of 1 minute. The speed at which the level is decreased is determined by the current radiation level: -2.5/s when at 200% or higher, -5/s when below 200%, and -20/s when below 100%.
