The Slayer Star Rating (SSR) is a hidden value that allows the player to summon King Slayer III as soon as Hardmode begins, without the need for defeating Mechanical Bosses to craft the Cyber Radio. The player can increase their SSR by bringing Androids, Prototype Silvers and Space Paladins to low health and letting them teleport away. Letting them escape will also summon a wave of enemies that can be used to increase SSR further. However, certain enemies will not increase SSR above a certain threshold. Androids have a cap of 2, Prototype Silvers have a cap of 4, and Space Paladins will not increase SSR above 5.

If the player's SSR is 1 or higher, all Androids, Prototype Silvers and Space Paladins will attack them on sight. SSR of 2 allows for Prototype Silvers Mk.I to rarely spawn on the surface during the day. SSR of 3 allows the same for Space Paladins Mk.I.

Upon reaching the SSR of 5, two Scanner Drones Mk.I will appear and scan the player. Regardless of whether or not the player destroys them, King Slayer III will appear shortly after and begin the fight. The SSR will reset to 0 after King Slayer III spawns.

Notes

• The player should be careful not to accidentally kill or despawn the enemies from the waves, otherwise they'll have to either wait for required enemies to naturally spawn or give up and craft the Cyber Radio, since SSR is only reset by having King Slayer III appear.
