"Adios, dingus."
King Slayer III is a Hardmode boss fought during daytime. He is intended to be fought after defeating the Mechanical Bosses.
While King Slayer III is alive, the music Betrayal of Fear will play.
Spawn
King Slayer III is summoned by using a Cyber Radio at day. Using it will summon two Scanner Drone Mk.Is that drop down and scan the player. If the player has positive Alignment, the drones will say "Target Unimportant..." and leave, using the item again will repeat the process this time with a hologram of King Slayer's head telling the player to get lost. On the third use, King Slayer III will spawn. If the player has negative Alignment, King Slayer III will spawn immediately after the first scan. He will also spawn immediately if the player destroys the drones.
Alternatively, King Slayer III can be spawned by reaching a Slayer Star Rating of 5.
Summoning King Slayer III after defeating the Omega Obliterator or Nebuleus will instead summon his clone with a display name "King Slayer III... ?".
Behavior
King Slayer III will alternate between physical, projectile, and special attack categories, with a chance to switch categories after every attack. He will usually attempt to stay level with the player and will teleport closer to them when far away.
King Slayer III possesses a Bubble Shield that absorbs any projectiles. The Shield will disable after taking more than 3,000 damage, but will be reactivated upon reaching phase transitions (75%, 50% and 25% health)
Upon dropping below 5% health, King Slayer III will pause and become invulnerable, offering to call the fight a draw. The player can then choose how to proceed through 2 buttons in their inventory. If the player chooses 'Call Draw', King Slayer III will fly off and drop his loot. If the player chooses 'Continue', he will summon four Space Keepers that will heal him to 10,000 health and enter his Overclock Phase, increasing the intensity of some of his attacks and gaining 25% damage reduction. Defeating King Slayer III's Overclock Phase will reduce the player's Alignment by 2.
"King Slayer III... ?" has the same attacks as the original King Slayer III, being able to use them at any time. Additionally, his Bubble Shield possesses 9,000 health, but does not reactivate.
Attacks
King Slayer has three categories of attacks: Gun, Physical, and Special. The more of any one category he uses in a row the higher a chance he has of switching to a different category. After a Gun or a Special attack, King Slayer has a higher chance to switch to a Physical one if the player is holding a melee weapon.

- Hyperspear Dropkick - Launches into the air and dropkicks the player at high speeds, trying to predict their position. This attack inflicts the Static Shock! debuff.
