The Fool, also known as Newb, is an NPC vendor that sells dirt, gems, and items that help with gathering ores. He will move in once the following conditions have been met:

• Destroying the Newb Mound found in a cave below the Surface Portal.

Alongside standard housing requirements, the Fool additionally needs a placed non-Ruby Gem, Gem tree, Gemstone Block, or a gem Toilet inside his house.

After Nebuleus, Angel of the Cosmos has been defeated, the Fool's dialogue and appearance will change. The 'Shop' and 'Happiness' options will no longer be available, and he will have a 50% chance to leave every day after defeating Nebuleus.

When threatened by enemies, he will defend himself with the Dirt Rod.
