The Spider Swarmer is a critter that spawns after breaking Infested Stone or sometimes after shaking an Elder Tree. It alternates between being idle and wandering around, initially dealing no damage. If there are 7 or more Spider Swarmers active at the same time, they will become aggressive and start attacking players and other NPCs. They inflict the Swarmed! debuff that deals 2 damage per second. The Spider Swarmer can be caught with any type of Bug Net and may be used as fishing bait, with a bait power of 10%.

Notes
- Guide to Critter Companionship, Spider Serum, or Beelzebub Concoction will prevent Spider Swarmers from dealing damage to the player and from targeting them.

Bestiary entry for the Spider Swarmer: "Lives in dark caverns or basements. These on their own are harmless, but if you see a swarm of them, prepare for a thousand bite marks."
