The Bronze Wand is a Pre-Hardmode wand found in the Ancient Hut or sold by the Fallen for 30 Antique Doruls. On use, it fires two oscillating aquamarine orbs, dealing Water Damage. If the left-click is held down, the water orbs will begin lightly homing after firing six times, and will continue to home until the left-click is released.

Its best modifier is Mythical.

Notes

  • While its Water Damage might at first make it sound more appealing than its competitors, there are few enemies on its tier that take bonus damage from its effects, so this can likely be ignored.
    • However, if the player seeks to travel to the Caverns or Underworld early, it can prove helpful in dealing with the Fire Imps that may prove otherwise too daunting for early-game players.
  • Its homing and low mana cost make this weapon ideal for bosses such as Queen Bee or Seed of Infection, however its lack of piercing may mean that the Soul Scepter, a magic wand on the same tier, may be a far more effective option when fighting large enemy swarms or bosses with several segments, such as the Eater of Worlds or Brain of Cthulhu, thanks to its higher base damage and effective piercing.
  • When fired parallel to the ground, one or both orbs may clip into the ground and disappear, making this weapon more effective on aerial foes than grounded ones.

Trivia

  • When the Bronze Staff is shift-clicked over, the following text appears on the tooltip; "A bronze wand with an aquamarine orb, once used by a trickster sorcerer of Kohldur. The sorcerer used the element of water to play harmless pranks on the barons of the capital, until they grew weary of her antics and ordered the duke to exile her."
