Midnight, Defiler of the Prince is a Hardmode melee weapon. Left clicking swings the weapon as normally, and holding it will charge the weapon's swing. Hitting an enemy or a tile with a charged swing will generate 4 or 2 homing Nebula Sparks respectively, which fire projectiles at enemies, dealing Celestial and Shadow damage. Once at least 4 Nebula Sparks are active at the same time, the weapon won't be able to generate more of them.
Its best modifier is Godly.

- Midnight possesses the Axe bonus, giving it devastating strength on critical hits and making landing hits with this weapon highly effective.
- This is doubly so on humanoid enemies, allowing Midnight to make full use of the Axe bonus' increased chance of decapitation.
