The Divinity is a craftable Hardmode spell tome. When used, it summons a miniature Sun above the player's head that will immediately explode. Holding the attack button instead will make the Sun persist, loosely following the player and dealing contact damage to enemies. The Sun starts at 10% size, which increases by 3% per frame when the attack button is held, up to 100%. After the Sun has reached 100% size, the Divinity will start conjuring Divinity Charges that deal 50% of base damage, can pierce infinitely, and will home in on the Sun, increasing its size by 2% upon contact, up to 300%. Divinity Charges consume 10% of the base mana cost and are created once every 0.23 seconds.
After the Sun has reached 110% size (absorbing at least 5 Divinity Charges), it will shine, and a Crosshair will appear at the cursor. Releasing the attack button will fire the Sun towards the crosshair, which will explode for 200% damage and leave 8-13 Molotov Fire projectiles upon reaching it. After the Sun has reached 300% size (absorbing at least 100 Divinity Charges), it will shine again, and the Divinity Charges will stop spawning.
The Sun's contact damage is calculated using the following formula: , where is Divinity's base damage and is a decimal representation of the Sun's size; it is 0.1 at 10%, 1.5 at 150%, etc. While the Sun is still being channeled, its contact damage uses the following formula instead: .
Its best modifier is Demonic, as it does not have any knockback, and thus cannot get modifiers that affect it.
