Heat Wave
The Dragon Cleaver is a craftable Pre-Hardmode Sword. Holding the left-click will cause it to begin charging a wave slash that deals Fire damage. Once charged, it will automatically begin swinging in random directions firing projectiles for an indefinite period of time. It is the Bad route counterpart to the Pure-Iron Sword.
Striking a foe with the blade will cause the next strike to be aimed normally, however the projectile will not fire. This effectively trades an inconsistent mid-ranged DPS with a high close ranged damage with greater consistency.
Its best modifier is Godly.

Notes
- Although significantly less consistent than the Pure-Iron Sword, the Dragon Cleaver has a much higher damage potential, as well as being somewhat safer to use due to firing a projectile.
- While wearing Dragon-Lead armor, the Dragon Cleaver has a 100% chance to inflict the Dragonblaze debuff.
