The Ukonvasara is a post-Moon Lord melee weapon dropped by Ukko. Pressing ⚷ Open / Activate will switch between a Sword, Hammer, and Axe attack modes.

Sword Mode - Holding the attack button will throw the Sword towards the cursor in a manner akin to a boomerang, with the Sword being able to bounce off tiles and to pierce infinitely. While in this state, the Sword will inflict the Electrified debuff to hit enemies. Releasing the attack button at any point will cause the player to warp to the Sword and perform a wide swing for 600% damage. Additionally, a Lightning strike will occur at the player's previous and current positions after the warp, dealing 300% of the weapon's damage and inflicting Electrified.

Hammer Mode - When used, it will swing the Hammer in a wide arc. If the hammer hits an enemy, it will summon a Lightning strike on top of them, dealing 100% of the Hammer's damage. Both the Hammer and the Lightning inflict Electrified. Additionally, if there are any targets nearby, the Hammer will instantly warp to each enemy once, dealing damage and summoning Lightning strikes with each hit. Afterwards, the Hammer will bounce behind the player and will target the closest enemy for 5x damage.

Axe Mode - Holding the attack button will spin the Axe around the player, building up speed until full charge. Hitting enemies will summon Lightning strikes on top of them for 100% of the Axe's damage. Releasing the attack button after reaching full charge will propel the player towards the cursor with massive speed, leaving behind Ukon Sparks that rapidly hit for 33.33% of the base damage. The dash provides immunity to contact damage and its trajectory can be altered mid-air by moving the cursor. Additionally, during the dash, the player will be granted the Heavy buff, which increases the player's maximum fall speed by 6x. Pressing ▼ Down at any point during the dash will immediately slam the player down, creating 3 Lightning strikes on impact with a solid tile.

Notes

• The duration of the Electrified debuff inflicted by Lightning strikes will be increased if the target has the Wet debuff.
• The Lightning's damage is multiplied by 1.2x at the very tip of the strike.

Trivia

• In Finnish mythology Ukonvasara is the symbol and magical weapon of the thunder god Ukko, its name meaning 'hammer of Ukko'. It was said that Ukko was able to create lightning using this weapon.
