Log

The Log Staff is a craftable Pre-Hardmode summon weapon. On use it summons a Log sentry that shoots an exploding bouncy acorn. The sentry is locked in one direction and shoots regardless of whether there are enemies nearby or not.

Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stats bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only significant advantage a Mythical weapon has over a Ruthless one is knockback.
