The Alder's Staff in use.
The Alder's Staff is a Pre-Hardmode wand that is dropped by Thorn, Bane of the Forest. When used, it conjures 4 Arcane Bolts above the player that can possess 1 of 3 random behaviors. They can either fly straight at the cursor, be launched in an arc at the cursor, or perform a spin and then fly in the general direction of the cursor.
Its best modifier is Masterful for mana conservation, or Godly for criticial strike chance and knockback. It cannot get the Mythical modifier due to its low mana cost.
